Our Programs
INHO supports vulnerable children and families in Haiti through education, nutritious meals, mobile healthcare, and community‑building programs. Beth‑Tikva provides a safe home where children receive daily food, schooling, and enrichment activities—from science and languages to environmental education and leadership formation. Through farming, reforestation, youth development, and civic engagement, INHO helps young people grow into confident, self‑reliant citizens ready to strengthen their communities.
School Program

INHO’s school program ensures that children and youth—from kindergarten to college—can access quality education, school supplies, and daily academic support. Through Beth‑Tikva and free homeschooling classes in science, technology, and languages, students gain strong foundations and discover new passions. Enrichment activities like summer camps, environmental workshops, and the INHO‑Junior book club help them grow with confidence and curiosity
Computer Science

In Haiti, learning computer programming is essential for young people who must be prepared to rebuild their country in a rapidly changing, technology‑driven world. Despite our limited means, INHO offers free classes in computer science—HTML, Python, and digital literacy—to the children of Beth‑Tikva, opening doors to future careers and innovation. By equipping them with these skills today, we are preparing a new generation of problem‑solvers and leaders for the Haiti of tomorrow.
Nature and Environment

Educating young people in Haiti and protecting the environment are urgent priorities for the country’s future, and INHO works to address both with determination. We offer classes on climate change, global warming, and environmental safety, teaching children practical skills such as reusing and repurposing materials to reduce waste. Each year, we also organize a national tree‑planting campaign that mobilizes youth to restore their communities and protect Haiti’s natural resources. By forming informed, responsible, and environmentally conscious young citizens, INHO is helping prepare a new generation capable of rebuilding a stronger, greener Haiti.
Aletheia

Aletheia is an INHO program dedicated to young adults in Haiti, transforming dialogue into concrete community action. Rooted in the Greek concept of alētheia—truth expressed through sincere conversation—it brings together members ages 18–39 to identify local needs and carry out practical initiatives aligned with INHO’s pillars of education, health, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture. Through monthly training, civic engagement, and quarterly community projects, Aletheia members lead efforts such as health and nutrition education, food‑security initiatives, neighborhood cleanups, recycling drives, and reforestation campaigns. A typical project might establish a community nutrition garden, offering hands‑on agricultural training, seeds, and follow‑up support so families can grow their own food sustainably. By cultivating leadership, accountability, and cooperation, Aletheia empowers young adults to create solutions that are locally owned, impactful, and built to last.
Beth-Tikva

Beth‑Tikva, meaning “House of Hope,” was founded in 2024 to welcome children fleeing gang violence and to offer a safe haven to those in Haiti who had nowhere else to turn. Thanks to the dedication of Bill Fonderson Venant and a team of committed adult volunteers, what began as an emergency refuge has grown into a vibrant home where children receive daily meals, healthcare, emotional support, and a full education from kindergarten to college. We even integrate pets, such as dogs, to help teach responsibility, empathy, and emotional stability. Over time, Beth‑Tikva has become far more than a shelter: it is a family, a school of life, and a place where young people rediscover their potential, rebuild their confidence, and prepare to shape a brighter future for Haiti.
Goats Farm

INHO’s agriculture program teaches young people in Haiti the value of hard work, resilience, and self‑sufficiency through hands‑on farming training. In a country where food is increasingly scarce and families struggle to access reliable nutrition, this program equips youth with practical skills in cultivation, animal care, and sustainable land use. Our goat‑farming initiative is especially vital: goats are hardy, reproduce quickly, and provide milk, meat, and income—making them one of the most reliable sources of food security in rural communities. By empowering young people to raise livestock and grow their own food, INHO helps build a generation capable of feeding their families, strengthening their communities, and contributing to Haiti’s long‑term stability.
